OVERVIEW
With the most important election of our lives less than a month away, the National Urban Indian Family Coalition wants to hear from Indian Country with our Democracy is Indigenous video challenge! Have a chance to win cash prizes and help ensure everyone’s voice is heard.
To enter the contest, simply record a short (less than 20 second) video of yourself explaining your tribal affiliation, where you are from, and why you are making sure to vote in this election. Then, upload and share it on either Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter with the hashtag #DemocracyisIndigenous. The NUIFC will also be awarding 20 entries with a $100 cash prize and possibly include them in our Democracy is Indigenous video series! We are so excited to collect the voice of urban Indian America to help increase awareness around the importance of the Native Vote.
We will be collecting videos until October 23rd, 2020.
Submission MUST include tribal affiliation, location, and reason why you will be voting in the 2020 election. Entries and questions can also be directed to the NUIFC’s Communications and Projects Director, Rio Fernandes, at Riof@nuifc.org.
Submission Waiver
By submitting a video with the hashtag #DemocracyisIndiginious, you are agreeing to have your video collected and edited by the National Urban Indian Family Coalition for our marketing materials during the 2020 election season.
