2020 Call For Artists - Website.png

OVERVIEW

The NUIFC invites American Indian and Alaska Native artists to submit digital artwork for our 2026 Democracy is Indigenous campaign. The winning piece of artwork will be featured nationally to elevate the importance of the urban Indian vote and used in marketing materials that will be shared with our cohort of urban Indian non-profits.

The winning submission will receive a cash prize of $500!

The NUIFC is looking for a tagline that captures the power and spirit of our national civic engagement initiatives. Since 2018, Democracy is Indigenous has supported urban Native nonprofits as they help mobilize their communities. We are looking for a succinct message that embodies this work and can be used in our marketing and digital media efforts.

For more context, Democracy is Indigenous directly invests in urban Indian non-profits across the country to ensure Indigenous voices are heard at all levels of government. We know that resources follow policy and that policy follows elections, so we’ve committed to building a powerful cohort of organizations that can amplify this and make our goals for urban Indian America possible. This work goes beyond voter registration; we focus on creating year-round, sustainable efforts that help people see that civic engagement extends beyond Election Day.

The winner of this contest will receive a cash prize of $500. Submissions can made online at our tagline submission portal
